The day begins early, departing from the hotel from 7:15 a.m. and taking National Route 12 towards Colonia Wanda. After approximately 40 kilometres from Puerto Iguazú, we reach the Wanda Mines area, known for its deposits of semi-precious stones. Agates, quartz, rock crystal, amethysts and topaz are found here, in a landscape accompanied by pine, yerba mate and tea plantations. After this first visit, the route continues along National Route 12 through small cities, towns and agricultural areas until reaching San Ignacio. There, we visit the Jesuit Ruins, built in the 17th century during the presence of Jesuit missionaries in the region. A local guide introduces the history of their construction, the life and customs of the Guaraní people and the evangelisation process carried out by the Jesuits. After the visit, we return to Puerto Iguazú, with arrival at the hotel expected between approximately 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
