El Bolsón & Lago Puelo

A day south of Bariloche, travelling through lakes, rivers and Andean landscapes to El Bolsón and Lago Puelo. The journey combines nature, local culture and time to discover one of the most distinctive towns in the Comarca Andina.

The day begins in the morning, leaving Bariloche southbound along National Route 40. As the journey unfolds, the route passes Lakes Gutiérrez, Mascardi and Guillelmo and follows several waterways, including the Villegas, Foyel and Quemquentreu rivers, over approximately 129 kilometres to El Bolsón. Once in El Bolsón, the experience reveals the town’s artisanal character. Inspiro highlights its artisan market as well as local producers of berries and regional preserves. The journey then continues to Lago Puelo, approximately 16 kilometres farther on. There, we visit the surroundings of the National Park and its turquoise lake framed by the Andes. After enjoying the different stops along the route, we begin the return to Bariloche, with arrival expected around 6:00 p.m.
