Torres del Paine
Hotel Lago Grey
Hotel Lago Grey occupies one of the most spectacular settings in Torres del Paine National Park. The lake, icebergs and Grey Glacier remain a permanent part of the landscape surrounding the hotel.
Its concept is closely connected to this western sector of the park. Boat trips toward the glacier depart from here, together with excursions through nearby forests, viewpoints and trails.
It does not have the intimate character of some smaller lodges in our selection, but its location makes it a very valuable option for travelers who prioritize scenery and want to stay close to Grey Glacier.
Location
The hotel is located inside Torres del Paine National Park on the shores of Lake Grey, facing the glacial landscape that dominates this part of the park. From the property, guests can reach the beach where boats depart for navigation toward Grey Glacier.
The Accommodation
Rooms include independent heating and different views toward the surrounding natural landscape. The property also has a restaurant, bar and common areas oriented toward the scenery.
One of its main differentiators is the possibility of combining a stay with the Grey III navigation, which crosses the lake among icebergs and approaches the glacier front. All-inclusive programs and a range of park excursions are also available.
Why We Like It
Because here the location is the true protagonist. Sleeping beside Lake Grey makes it possible to experience this area of the park at times when most visitors have already left.
We would choose it especially for travelers interested in glaciers and navigation, or as part of an itinerary combining different areas of Torres del Paine.
