Torres del Paine
Estancia Cerro Guido
Across more than 100,000 hectares, Estancia Cerro Guido offers a Patagonia where rural life remains part of the everyday landscape. The historic ranch preserves its architecture, gardens and many traditions connected to the baqueanos and work with livestock.
The contemporary proposal also includes an important conservation and rewilding program. Experiences bring guests closer to work aimed at supporting coexistence between ranching and species such as the puma, while also exploring the steppe, riding horses and visiting Torres del Paine.
All-inclusive programs can be private or shared, combining dining, excursions and accommodation in a setting with a very strong historical identity.
Location
Estancia Cerro Guido is located northeast of Torres del Paine National Park in the settlement of Villa Cerro Guido. Its setting makes it possible to combine estancia life, exploration of the steppe and access to Torres del Paine without staying in the park’s busiest areas.
The Accommodation
The estancia has 21 rooms inspired by the English style historically associated with the property’s buildings. Interiors combine classic furnishings, warm textiles, central heating and views toward the gardens.
Dining draws on Patagonian recipes and products from the property’s own garden. Programs can include private excursions, horseback riding, conservation experiences, visits to Torres del Paine National Park and activities connected to estancia culture.
Why We Like It
Because it does not try to turn the estancia into simply another luxury hotel. The history of the place, the baqueanos, horses and conservation work remain visible throughout the experience.
We especially like it for travelers who want to understand something more about Patagonia than its scenery alone: here, the territory is also discovered through the people who live and work in it.
