Torres del Paine
Awasi Patagonia
In a private reserve facing Torres del Paine National Park, Awasi Patagonia offers an especially intimate way to discover Chilean Patagonia. The villas are distributed among lenga and ñirre forests, with open views toward Lake Sarmiento, the steppe and the peaks of the Paine massif.
Awasi’s philosophy is based on the freedom to explore the territory at your own pace. Each villa has a private guide and 4x4 vehicle throughout the stay, allowing each day to be shaped around the weather, guests’ interests and their preferred rhythm. Trekking, wildlife viewing, horseback riding and quieter routes can be combined without depending on group itineraries.
Dining, exclusively for guests, completes an experience where luxury is more closely tied to privacy, landscape and time than to ostentation.
Location
Awasi Patagonia is located at Estancia Tercera Barranca within a private reserve near Torres del Paine National Park. From the villas, guests look out over Lake Sarmiento, the steppe and the Paine mountains. Puerto Natales is approximately 120 kilometers away. The property can arrange private transfers from Puerto Natales and from the Cerro Castillo border crossing.
The Accommodation
The property has 16 independent villas distributed throughout the reserve. Standard villas offer generous interiors, a fireplace, heating and an outdoor hot tub; larger categories and a two-bedroom Master Villa are also available.
The stay can follow a fully hosted concept combining accommodation, dining, drinks and private explorations. The restaurant, reserved for guests, is part of Relais & Châteaux.
Why We Like It
Because it extends the concept of tailor-made travel into the accommodation itself. We especially value having a private guide and vehicle, which completely changes the pace at which Torres del Paine can be discovered.
We also appreciate its location away from the park’s busiest areas. Returning to an isolated villa, lighting the fire and looking out over the landscape from the outdoor hot tub makes the property a central part of the journey rather than simply a base for excursions.
