The experience
The day begins from 8:30 a.m. with pick-up for guests staying within the central area defined by the operator. The pick-up process may take approximately 30 to 45 minutes depending on the locations of the different hotels. Guests staying outside the central area must make their way to a nearby hotel agreed in advance as the meeting point. From Mendoza, we travel to Maipú, one of the region’s traditional wine areas. The route explores its winemaking history through establishments that contributed to the development of the industry and still preserve elements of their identity and family tradition. The current programme includes visits to Trapiche Winery and Santa Julia Winery, learning about different aspects of wine production and taking part in tastings. The operator notes that the final winery selection will be confirmed when contacting the guest, so operational changes may occur. The experience continues within the Familia Zuccardi world with a visit to Almazara Zuelo. There, we learn about olive-oil production and have the opportunity to taste the oil. To close the day, enjoy a Mediterranean lunch at Pan & Oliva, where Zuelo olive oil is incorporated into the different courses. The experience thus brings together wine, olive oil and Mendoza gastronomy in one itinerary. Return is expected at approximately 5:30 p.m., completing a day of around nine hours including transfers, visits, tastings and lunch.

The place
Maipú is one of Mendoza’s traditional wine regions, located east of the city. Its history is deeply connected to the development of Mendoza wine, with wineries that played leading roles in the province’s early winemaking history and today coexist with gastronomic and olive-oil experiences.
Why we love it
Because it is more than a sequence of tastings. The experience connects three essential elements of Mendoza’s gastronomic identity: wine, olive oil and cuisine. It is an excellent introduction for travellers who want to understand the region’s winemaking history without venturing too far from the city.
