Isla Victoria & Arrayanes Forest | Preferred Experience

A cruise on Nahuel Huapi with a more exclusive perspective

Approximately 7 hoursNature

The lake offers another way to see Bariloche: from the water, among islands, forests and mountains.

From US$ 105

The experience

The day begins with a transfer to Puerto Pañuelo, opposite the Llao Llao area, where we board for the journey across Lake Nahuel Huapi. After approximately 30 minutes of navigation, we arrive at Puerto Anchorena in the central and narrowest part of Isla Victoria. Once ashore, several walking options are available, guided or independent, along marked trails. We then resume navigation toward the Quetrihué Peninsula, home to Los Arrayanes National Park. Here we follow a wooden boardwalk through the forest among arrayán trees that can exceed 15 meters in height. Their broad trunks and characteristic cinnamon-colored bark marked with white patches create one of the region’s most recognizable environments. After the visit, we begin the return navigation.

The place

The experience begins at Puerto Pañuelo in the Llao Llao area, 25 km from downtown Bariloche. From there, the boat crosses Lake Nahuel Huapi to Isla Victoria and later to the Quetrihué Peninsula, home to Los Arrayanes National Park.

Why we love it

Because it brings navigation, forest and trails together in one day. Isla Victoria invites you to explore different corners on foot and learn part of the region’s history, while the Arrayanes Forest offers a completely different landscape defined by its characteristic cinnamon-colored trunks.

Sail Nahuel Huapi to enter two essential Patagonian landscapes.
