Base Torres by Horse and on Foot
A combination of horseback riding through the Ascencio Valley and a final trek to the Base Torres Viewpoint.
An alternative to the traditional Base Torres trek for travelers who want to add the experience of riding alongside baqueanos in the heart of Paine.
The experience
The day begins at the stables with an introduction to the horses and safety guidelines. Approximately 9.2 km are covered on horseback across the steppe and through the Ascencio Valley to the Chileno sector. From there, the journey continues on foot through native forest and the final moraine section to the Base Torres Viewpoint. The return again combines trekking and horseback riding.
