Seven Lakes Route & San Martín de los Andes

Duration
Approximately 11 hours

From Bariloche to San Martín de los Andes among lakes and forests

A full day along one of Patagonia’s most iconic scenic routes. Lakes, forests and mountains accompany the journey from Bariloche to San Martín de los Andes, with stops in Villa La Angostura and at viewpoints along the Seven Lakes Route.

The day begins at around 8:00 a.m. with hotel pick-up in Bariloche. From there, we head north, pass Dina Huapi, cross the Limay River and connect with National Route 40. Following the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi, we make a first stop in Villa La Angostura, a mountain-architecture town where there is a short time to walk around. Then begins the central section of the experience: the Seven Lakes Road. Several stops are made along the route to enjoy the scenery and viewpoints. The route reveals Lakes Espejo, Correntoso, Villarino, Falkner, Escondido, Machónico and Lácar before finally reaching San Martín de los Andes around midday. In San Martín, there is free time to explore the town and have lunch overlooking Lake Lácar. Lunch is at the guest’s choice and is not included. In the afternoon, we return along the Seven Lakes Road, with one final stop planned in Villa La Angostura before continuing to Bariloche, arriving at approximately 7:30 p.m.
